WANDER WOMAN EATS'
Meet Kimberly | Veteran, Adventurer & Storyteller
The Woman Behind Wander Woman Eats I’m Kimberly, a USAF veteran, medically retired firefighter paramedic, and outdoor enthusiast. After 15 years as a first responder, I stepped away from my career due to PTSD and anxiety, searching for a way to reclaim my well-being. I found solace in nature, and now, I share my journey through this blog.
Wander Woman Eats is my outlet to document my adventures, offer tips on backpacking, and share plant-based meal ideas for the trail. My mission is to make outdoor recreation more accessible and show others—especially women, veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community—that the wilderness can be a place of healing and empowerment.
Through this blog, I hope to break stereotypes, inspire confidence, and build a community that celebrates adventure, strength, and mindful living.
